Tiegan Brook

Tiegan

Only a few weeks have gone since we had to say good-bye to a sort of long-standing character on the show though Tiegan played by SALLY MARRETT wasn't always there for us when we were longing for her though...

My friends from Norway are supposed to have the debut of hers fresh in mind for it was re-screened some weeks ago..

Suddenly being hit by a at the first glance weird being was the first impression I got on Tiegan back in 1997 .. I've read so much on HIM by now and it turned out that HE was a girl.. oh shame on me !!!

Why cheese and nuts though ??? Remember taking this cheese cake right out of the fridge and nearly being caught by Shannon coming into the kitchen ?? Yeah that was really the first mean deed of her.. . mean ??.. we weren't aware what was going on inside the poor little girl then... and putting the blame on Sam.. everybody thought she's NUTS at this time, didn't we

Wearing Shannon's new dress in front of Pippa, Sally, Shannon and Sam was just another sign of playing the running-wild, the renegade !!

By the time we learned that this action was just a way of expressing of being tired of being pushed around and misunderstood and rejected by people surrounded her..

Finding out about her analphabetism Joey made tenderly his way into Tiegan's heart not telling anyone of the discovery of his.. all seemed to turn out to be the way one's expected.. it was almost predictable till the day an old couple was said to accept Tiegan as a foster-child of theirs and Tiegan nearly broke our heart by saying farewell for good....

Tiegan ought to have become that popular that she popped up out of the woodwork several months later on for some strange kind of reasons though.. the tragic loss of her foster granny and some nearby living aunt...

The aunt couldn't or didn't want to propel her sharing their lives together so the whole came back on Pippa !! Aaron was supposed to move in, too, shortly before Tiegan arrived out of the blue so Sam did his utmost to get rid of her and to make Pippa believe Aaron would be the better choice....

Old sparkles of love were fanned by the surprise meeting with Joey then.. Presenting this poem of hers to him was the first step in the right direction and Joey and Tiegan were on their way to catch up all the time spoiled. But evil Casey couldn't stand this lovebird-history thus she tried to split the whole thing up which backfired..

Joey could even make Tiegan see Fisher for these extra lessons after telling her she had not to be ashamed of this default of hers...

The very beginning was really painful.. pupils' laughter and Sam giving her a hard time...

But affection to Joey never died !! Joey went to hell due to his schizo problems and Tiegan tried to support him the best she could and he just told her that she was nothing more but an evil slut though !!!!

Seeing Joey at this mental hospital was too hard for Tiegan at first so she backed out... what a profound relationship that might have been unless Ian turned up on the scene again trying to convince all the former foster children of Pippa's to come to live with them !!

Tiegan was first of all reluctant for Justine didn't want to join her but then.. oh my GOOOOD.. we all shed heaps of tears seeing this all-time-fave character taking farewell from Summer Bay some weeks ago..

Tiegan – AKA Sally Marrett – will always have a place in our hearts though

SALLY MARRETT

Sally's first dream was to become a ballet dancer, but she gave that up to study drama. Before working on Home and Away, she did a couple of voice-overs and worked on children's TV; "I'd done a few interviews on morning kids' shows when I was about eight, but nothing really serious. Home and Away is really my first professional job".

Sally is a keen musician. She plays bass guitar and acoustic guitar and also has talent for signing, something which she may take up further in a few years' time.

After a hard week at work, Sally enjoys socialising; "I like to go out on weekends mainly and just have time to myself. We work very hard during the week, so I like sleeping in and taking it easy."
